We don't know about you, but when we were 15 we could barely save up for a video game, let alone an entire workstation. Maybe we should have taken some lessons from this kid. Found on Flickr, Lewspeight is just a teen, yet he bought everything you see above himself. The kid's got an eye for well thought out office space to boot.
The setup includes a HD 22" BenQ E2200HD flat screen, an unbranded monitor arm bought off eBay, a wireless Apple keyboard, Logitech MX Revolution cordless mouse, Creative Speakers, Griffin Powermate volume knob, Griffin Elevator laptop stand, and an iPod Nano 2 Gig.
His laptop, plugged into his BenQ screen, is a Hackintoshed PC running Mac OSx86. The LCD is also plugged into his Xbox 360 tucked away under his desk. More after the jump...

Insane. When I was 15 we had one computer in our house. With dial-up.

And of course when I was 15 the cool thing was a digital clock with big flippy numbers.

I hope this kid had a job to pay for this stuff.

This kid appears to have more disposable income than I do as a middle-aged adult.

I simply have a Paper round earning £16 a week and then i have just saved over the years and my collection of gadgets has gradually increased in size.
I have just gone 15, as of 12th of Feb. and got the Mx revolution out of my birthday money, so as you can imagine, i dont get alot for my birthdays so i cant blame my collection on the birthdays.
Hope you like!

Lew, this is great work, both in terms of saving for all of your gear and in your excellent attention to design and space management. I'm 40 years old and my home work area doesn't look that good, so you've inspired me to do something about mine!

I love the picture of the car in the background. Where did you get it.

When I was 15, the Internet didn't exist, and you still had to boot up your computer with one of those big floppy DOS disks in it. Heh.
But my parents did buy us computers, and I'm glad they did, because it became the basis of my current profession. If I had a kid and the money to do it, I'd buy them a really nice computer to work on.
So extra points to this kid for having a job and buying his own equipment!

Nice job, and congrats on putting it together so well. I say no more jealous-grownup comments on this.

I see what confused everyone... he actually saved the money to buy this stuff instead of sticking it on a credit card and whining and crying about the interest rates, then holding his hand out for bailout/stimulus money! lol Novel idea, eh? Lew, you seem like a cool kid. Keep up the good work!

I had an Atari 800 computer when I was 15. No internet, 64k of RAM, and 5 1/4" floppies. Those were the days...
