Survey: Twitter Jobs
Would you tweet for work?

031909_sz_twitter.jpg Man, it seems like everyone and their mom is tweeting these days -- congress tweets during the prez's non-state of the union address, jurors tweet in court, but according to our very scientific survey, tweeting is about to take over the world...yet.

This may change some naysayers minds. A UK job search company, WorkHound, recently launched a job search service for Twitter users. The service sifts though vacancies on the job site and contextualizes the info into 140 character tweets...

"The pool of data of Twitter is really not valuable until it can be organized," Henry Mackintosh, head of marketing for Workdigital (Workhound's parent company), told SXSW visitors. "We scan millions of tweets but also drill down a bit further to create a very strong contextual search. There are about 25,000 jobs mentioned on Twitter and thousands being added every hour."

Twitter JobSearch pulls in additional data on each job, such as location or job title, which give more info up front rather than just links to a web page. via The Guardian
