"The wood slabs are actually the remnants of a bookcase that I took apart for this very reason. They rest solely on two file cabinets for maximum storage. There are also shelves under the desk, which house a printer, stereo, garbage can and foot rest. The front part of the desk is collapsible for maximizing floor space when it is really necessary, but also being able to maximize workspace the rest of the time. After years of trying many different desks and solutions, this setup is the least distracting and most efficient for myself as an FCP editor and writer."

Tony attached a powerstrip to the wall, behind his iMac, for easy access to power plugs. His iMac also hides his Lacie external hard drive -- Tony has six terabytes total of external drive space he uses when he works.

The legs to the foldaway leaf of the desk are held up by basic 2-by-4s, which are attached to the tabletop with velcro! "The weight of the desk itself is more than enough for the legs to remain firmly in place, and the velcro allows for fast and easy disassembly." A closet on the right of the desk holds a turntable, mixer and VCR for video input.
