Brendan's DIY Hide the Wires Project Video

One of our former bloggers over from Re-Nest sent us this video of an audition tape for a DIY network show (it's about 10 minutes long, so you might fast forward to about :56 to skip the intro spiel) which shows how to hang a flat screen on the wall and hide all the wires. Would-be DIY show host Brendan Mckiernan actually does a great job of illustrating and explaining a common "one day I'll do it" project where wires/cables of a home entertainment center are integrated into the wall, hiding everything from view...

To be honest, we're bummed he got rid of the 60's credenza and the record player; we would have preferred he used those elements for his solution instead of ridding of them. But we we're impressed with his easy to follow how-to explanation and fun to follow paper cut out diagrams...it's not always easy thing to communicate how and where things go for the everyday DIY'er. And a special bit of credit for braving a crawl space in Phoenix during summer...that's dedication!

I watched it from start to finish. Great production values, especially for a home made video.
Well done.

Hope he gets the job. I enjoyed his video from start to finish. Loved the part when he said a good tool to use would be a router, but he had lent his to a friend. Great stuff, great delivery.
