Two dishwashers in one. Fisher & Paykel's double dishwasher lets you wash a little or a lot. Its two separate drawers not only allows you to choose how many dishes to wash, but saves water, as well. And for those of you in tight quarters, you can buy each drawer separately and upgrade as your space allows. Perfect for those small, cool kitchens.
Not only can you choose to wash less, but can also separate your heavy duty cookware from your delicates, as each drawer has its own setting. We think this is a great dishwasher alternative for both the space-concious and energy-savers.

we just bought a loft that has a single Fisher & Paykel dish drawer installed. at first, i thought i would really hate it, having always had a regular sized dishwasher, but i have to say i really do like it. you can run small loads, but you can also fit alot into it. it uses less water & energy (has an "Eco" setting), and gets dishes consistently cleaner than any traditional dishwasher i've had.
our kitchen was upgraded just before we bought it. we won't need to get new appliances for a while, but when we do, i'll definitely lean toward a F&P dual dish drawer setup.

I have the KitchenAid dual drawer and I love it. I must say I rarely use both drawers, so one might have been sufficient.

oh, yah.. i meant to say in my comment that the KitchenAid dish drawer is a rebranded F&P product. i'm sure the KithenAid (Whirlpool) brand is much more recognizable and more widely distributed, atleast in the US.

I just moved into a home that has a dual F&P dishwasher and I am very pleased with how well it cleans and DRIES! the dishes. However, that said, these wonderful results were when I used either the top or the bottom individually. I tried twice to use both drawers at the same time, and my dishes came out covered in a sloshy food mess. Am I doing something wrong? Are you not supposed to use both at a time??

if the f&p dishwasher dings as easily as their refrigerator, i'd sooner wash my dishes in the hudson river. i get stressed out every time i look at my 'fridge (an event that has, sadly, has been gaining in frequency).

rika7, the only time my dishes have come out dirty was when i let the handle of a pot drop down so that it got in the way of the rotating sprayer arm.
hope this helps.
