Plus Minus Zero Humidifier

2007_04_05 humid2.jpgSo very simple. We love the simplicity of the products that come from the Japanese design studio plus minus zero. This humidifer is no exception. Capable of standing alone as sculpture, the fact that it is a humidifier is more of an added bonus. We have no idea how well this works, but for some reason even if it didn't we wouldn't complain. Unfortunately it seems it is only available in Japan so we will never know.

I've been wanting this (in orange) ever since I first saw it last year... If only it didn't cost $265 more than the one that's working perfectly in our son's room right now.

I wish they'd made the electrical cords the same color as the body, or at least put them on the same side as the green indicator lights, so we can hide both if we wish. Ouchy on the price too...

I would not recommend these humidifiers.

We purchased one for our kid's room and one for our bedroom. It was extremely sensitive. The humidifier had to be completely level before it would work, and even than sometimes it wouldn't start. It would work one night and than when I plugged it in the next, it wouldn't. It was very frustrating.

Once they were working, they worked too well. My other complaint is that they did not have varying speeds, just high. Which meant I counldn't have them on too long in the kid's room before things became damp.

We've stopped using them. Now they are sitting in the corner of our rooms not being used. But they look good though.
