Single Serving Coffee Maker

2007_05_02 single coffee maker.jpgSometimes a single cup of coffee is just perfect. Holding just enough water for a single cup, the WMF1 (the name could use some work) will have your java juice ready in just one minute. No need to brew more than you need with a nice design to boot.

Available in black, red, yellow and green...but only in Germany so far.

Haha, this is awesome. I drink coffee for the taste, not for the caffeine rush (normally), and one cup a day is just about right.

I saw a round-up of single-cup coffeemakers... where did I see that? Possibly Treehugger? None were as cute as this, but they weren't ugly either. Definitely on my xmas list this year, as I usually drink just 1 cup and could use the counter space.

I love the design of this, but for those of you who would rather have a multi-use tool, I can't help but suggest a low-tech version.

Get a french press and a tea kettle (I have an electric one). You can make a little or a lot of coffee with the french press (piece of cake, once you get the proportions right), and you can also steep loose tea in it. I make myself the perfect 1.5 cups of coffee every morning this way.
