Turn Digital Photos Into Stretched Canvas Prints

012709_sz_canvasprint.jpg We've been going to PictureFrames.com to order custom cut matting for our art purchases for a year now. We absolutely love how helpful the site is when figuring out what sizing our matting needs to be. They have this great tool that lets you upload a scan or digital image of your artwork, plug in its dimensions and the dimensions of your frame and then poof, you have the sizing of your matting. It's basically foolproof.

Over the weekend, while we were sizing up the matting we need for our new Battlecat print we discovered a new service that lets you print your digital photos on canvas. For $14.40 a square foot, you can turn your favorite snapshots into stretched canvas works of art...

You can choose between glossy or matte finishes and different types of wrapping. There's a museum wrap, where the canvas is stretched over all-wood linen liners for archival quality and stapled at the sides. The gallery wrap extends the print around the sides of the canvas, which is precision-folded and attached to the back—not the sides—of the stretcher frame. You can add a solid black or white border to the outer edge of your canvas or choose to have the outer 1 3/4" of your image cloned and mirrored on the outer edge of the wrapped canvas.

Has anyone seen the print quality? I wonder if they look like t-shirt prints or high-res epsons.
