We're big fans of unique, funny and whimsical designs &mdash especially when they transform an average item into something above average (whether it's aesthetically or technically). We've been known to purchase a few products here and there based solely on their design.
Just a moment ago, Taryn reported on her favourite element from the new Twitter Headquarters. We wanted to follow up with rest of their new office (they moved just around the corner from their old offices). We're happy to see that they don't take themselves too seriously and are able to use humor in their decor.
We've all had those face palm moments of Oh Crap, Did I leave the coffee maker on?! Sometimes it's hard to remember to turn off or unplug every single device we have plugged in. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a way to turn off that coffee maker at the moment you realize it's still on?
We're pretty heavy sleepers and will wake up if there's even a fraction of light in the room; so you have to understand our skepticism of a device that claims to put you to sleep with light. But then again, we're not really the target market for this device.
We're looking for good quality speakers to incorporate into our home; one of us doesn't care about aesthetics &mdash only quality of sound. The other one cares much more about aesthetics than sound quality (guess which one that is!) Finally &mdash a solution from a familiar source; Regen.
We love laptop stands because there are plenty of laptops out there that just get way too hot (which is only really convenient in the winter months). The only thing we don't like about them, they're so darn bulky and hard to store when not in use.
There comes a time when we're separated from our loved ones and sometimes having a piece of them with you helps ease the difficulty of being apart. We never thought that keeping a digital scrapbook could help ease the separation.
We've said it a thousand times, there really is an iPhone App for everything. The creators of the iPhone App that helps translate your babies cries is just taking it too far.
We've never met a person that hasn't had some sort of love for the Ovalia Egg Chair (it's a classic!), but it seems nowadays; anyone and everyone is trying to expand upon the original by adding sound. This Sound Egg Chair is being sold for $1450 and is color customizable. We say leave the darn thing alone! What do you say?
We signed up for Google Wave when it first came out and even though we are going to lose so much of our tech "credentials" saying this: we weren't even too sure what it was at first!
There are plenty of erroneous pieces of technology floating around the world and we believe this may be another one. We completely understand the need for a very loud sound system, but an iPod dock that takes up a whole wall?
We really hate when we visit local stores and every faucet looks to have been created equally. While there's nothing wrong with run of the mill faucets; we're slightly more interested in the more innovative models.
