Stream, a concept from Brazilian based Baita design, is a wall module made from Corian that was created with kids in mind. The designer sought to solve the problem of lifting her daughters to the faucet to wash their hands and created Stream as something that would solve this problem in a very stylish way.
We love the clean lines and curves of this design and think it would look great in a modern bathroom. Since the structure is made out of Corian it is also durable and easy to clean, a must in a bathroom fixture! Having seen the issue many small children have with being able to reach the faucet, we think this is a very interesting and stylish solution to that problem.
Stream comes ready to install in a bathroom, replete with integrated light, mirror, and molded sink, five shelves, and a specially designed step that allows kids to wash their own hands without help.
Sure you could just use a step stool, but would that look as nice? What do you think, is this an interesting idea?

I think if you put the kids step against the wall instead of away from the wall it would be brilliant. And I don't have kids.

I like everything about this design except for the kids step aspect. There's one thing people always seem to forget about when designing for kids, decorating for kids, and accomodating kids' needs -- they're not going to be little kids forever. Eventually, this is going to cause exactly the problems webflipper and Nighted have (obviously) observed. A step stool can easily and cheaply serve the same purpose AND can easily be removed when the kids aren't so little anymore.
