Logitech V200 Cordless Notebook Mouse

2007-04-05logitchmouse.jpgRomeo, Romeo, where for art thou Romeo? Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as was the case last night when we realized that we had forgotten our favorite mouse at work.

This little guy is the best mouse we've worked with, and is so valuable, it makes the trek from work to home and back everyday...except when we forget it.

The wireless-ness is one wonderful feature, along with an optical tracker (instead of a physical ball) that allows for precise movement, and a scroll wheel that not only goes up and down, it also scrolls left and right in most programs, making our day job's work in Visio a breeze. The dongle clicks into place on the underside of the mouse for travel.

(A coworker's slightly upgraded version also has the ability to magnify what the pointer is near when holding down the scroll wheel, which is especially appreciated for her work in Excel.)

Oh my dear, Romeo, how lost we would be without you! Perhaps we need to get two of you--one for home and one for work so we'll never be apart.

Even though I have a laptop I can't live without my wireless mouse. The only downside is that I have to recharge it every night. Does this mouse need recharging that often?

Not at all! It is powered by 2 AAs, and I've had to replace them twice over the last nearly 2 years, but they say on their site that they now make it so the batteries last longer (I say it's a small price to pay, even with the current usage)...and it gives you a warning when the batteries are running low.

freakydeaky, i was JUST looking into laptop mice!

i was worrying about the wireless mouse, because i'm so not interested in charging things! so i was looking at those corded mice with retractable cables. but i only found those in "mini" mice. and i really don't want a mini-mouse (hee!)

if this is really as good as you say, i'll just charge that badboy to the company and find out fo m'self :)

kdkaboom...go for it! It can also double as a presentation remote, I've controlled a presentation from 25-30 feet away, no problem.

I got this as a gift and it seems to work great and go through batteries really slowly. My only gripe might not affect many other buyers but I have huge hands and found it took me some time to get used to its small size. I wish they came in different sizes. That said, on its own merits it is a great little mouse.

I loved loved loved my bluetooth Mighty Mouse that I got when I bought my macbook pro in the first week of December. When I got home from a family holiday in the first week of january I realized the mouse had stayed behind somewhere. I was (and still am) ridiculously bummed about losing it.

I have one of these. I bought it just for travelling but it quickly became my "main mouse".

Battery life is at least 6 months on alkalines. The battery low warning comes long before you need to worry about the mouse not working. I'm all for rechargeable batteries but this is one case where I am happy to use alkalines.

The mouse just seems to be the perfect size and weight.

I don't think I have ever been disapointed in a Logitech product (as I look around my office I'm surprised by how many Logitech products I actually have!).
