Does the color of your TV matter? In the April edition of Domino Magazine, they highlight a "cute white TV." We want to know: how much of a factor is the color of the electronic influence your decision to buy it?
The 23" Samsung LN-T2354H LCD HDTV with integrated ATSC tuner is featured; we can see the merits of a white TV being important to go with an all-white room...but is it really that important? You tell us...

Call me Type A, but color matters. Whether it is the TV, or computer monitor, or iPod speaker system, ect. It all has to coordinate.
At least in our home :>)

I think it depends on how you view electronics in your home. For our main entertainment area in our finished basement, I would say no, it doesn't matter what the outside color and style look like as long as the unit offers me the quality performance that I want.
But, for the spare bedroom, where the main purpose is not to entertain guests, but to offer a place for us to go if we don't want to watch what's being viewed on the big TV downstairs, then I can understand wanting to match decor. The electronics are secondary there, they are not required to be of top performance, so then aesthetics can play a more important role.
Then again, if we only had room for one TV, I think I would have to find a happy medium between style and performance. Thankfully we have the luxury of space.

I have not considered the color of any eletronic equipment that I use, but I have considered the overall style. I tend to gravitate toward Apple items

If I could afford a new TV, instead of the craigslist finds/hand me downs that I've always had, I would totally buy a white one, as our 27" black TV sticks out like a sore thumb in the living room (there's no room for any sort of cabinet, so it sits on a rolling cart which is mostly in the middle of the room.) Or I might just buy a flat screen, mount it on the wall and call it a day.

Overall design matters to me too.
It was hard not to get the pretty sony glass framed tv just for the looks, but I resisted.
Colorwise: My mother completely ruled out any tv that wasn't black in her lcd purchase last year which limited the crop substantially.
also how many people paid the extra 150 or so for the black macBook?

We have this television (40") and I love it, which I never thought I would stay about a tv. I didn't want my boyfriend to get a large television because I was afraid it would become an ugly focal point in our living room. I changed my mind when I saw this set. It is stylish but does not draw a lot of attention to itself, especially since we have it on a white wall. From a technical standpoint, I think he would say he's happy with the purchase, as well.

Color. Matters. Period.

I actually have the same one in black and I love it. When you watch TV at night (in the dark) the only thing you'll see is the picture, not the TV which is cool.
Not so sure about white though. It almost feels too much like a mac screen

Colors and design matter to me - a lot. I personally like the white TV (I love my white Mac), but if it was priced at a premium over the same model in black, I'd get black. I am really picky, but I won't pay a lot extra for something like a different color.

I have this TV but in the larger size. We wanted white to go with our place and I think this is the only TV of it's type that comes in white?
A friend came over and thought of an IPod right away. I never thought of it that way. I just wanted it to match the walls and stand out as little as possible.

It definitely matters to me; when I got a TV for my new place last year, I only wanted a silver one. I think it looks sleeker and stylish. I love this white one too.

"Color defiintely matters," she said, as she set up her new [white] Belkin 6-port hub. Did she mention that she has a new 24" iMac?

Oh yes, it matters. Anyone as sick of the 'silver' plastic trend that's been going on with electronics for the past couple years? Black is fine by me, even white doesn't look that cheap... and please don't bring back that multi-colored transparent style like when the first iMacs were released! YUCK!
