Tired of your inkjet? The Seattle Times recently featured a new-ish printing technology that promises to bring fast, laser-quality prints without the high cost of a LaserJet printer.
The concept is simple, rather than having the print cartridges move across the paper, the printer head is the size of a sheet of paper consiting of over 70,000 nozzels. Documents can be printed at a rate of 60 pages per minute, and 4x6 print in two seconds. The Idaho-based company, Memjet, is trying to pitch this idea to printer manufacturers, such as Dell, Sony, and HP.
