What do you look for in a desk? Unique materials? Storage? Ability to hide all those pesky computer wires? Penelope Green of the New York Times went on a hunt to improve upon the dinged up living room table currently acting as her own home office. While we have seen our share of beautiful desks, from concepts to DIY and even space saving convertible desks, with a budget of $1000, what did she find?

Four nice options under the $1000 ceiling came out:

- Bludot Desk 51 $699
While the beautiful Nelson Swag Leg desk and Airia Desk by Kaiju studios were two desirable desks mentioned but out of reach prices wise, for $149, we could find a spot for the CB2 Go-cart desk in our space tomorrow.
