Everyone Thinks They're "The Onion" Today

040109_tf_aprilfollslolcats.jpgI'm not here to try and trick you into believing that your wildest gadget fantasies have come true just because it's April Fools Day (Especially not the one with the Wii-mote Inflatable Doll). But I have to say that I'm amused by some of the other fake news we're seeing from our blogosphere peers. Three of these headlines came from legitimate gadget blogs, while one is bonafide bogus reporting from the fake news professionals at The Onion. Can you guess which one of these articles is real fake news from The Onion and which ones are just fake fake news?

  • "The Internet Could Run Out of Capacity in Two Years"

  • "Warner Brothers Acquires The Pirate Bay"

  • "Internet to Reduce E-Mail Delivery to 6 Days A Week"

  • "Apple Revokes Licenses to Produce iPod Docks"

  • The Internet Could Run Out of Capacity in Two Years: This is not real fake news, this is today's fake fake news from UK gadget blog Tech Digest.
  • Warner Brothers Acquires The Pirate Bay: This is also fake fake news from Torrent Freak, who only let on once you download the fake Press Release at The Pirate Bay.
  • Internet to Reduce E-Mail Delivery to 6 Days A Week: This one is the story from The Onion, adding that E-mail attachments will be charged by weight.
  • Apple Revokes Licenses to Produce iPod Docks: This one was a fake fake news post on Tech Digest this morning, but it looks like Apple is not into theApril Fools fun and it was taken down. Boo.
