This might be more applicable to the summer months when everyone's not buried under mountains of snow, but here it goes: Everyday, you make the unconscious (or maybe conscious) choice to sit inside and get pale in front of your computer screen instead of enjoying the great outdoors and getting yourself a little color baking under the sun. In fact, you can always tell who's the most computer addicted because they're also the pastiest. But what if sitting in front of your screen could actually give you a great tan? Yep, it is exactly what you're thinking...
...but it's not real.
It's actually just a fake product being virally passed around the internet via a Web site created by UK charity Skcin, to inform lovers of the sunbed about skin cancer risks.
One click on the "free trial" option on the ridiculously elaborate site reveals an instructional video, a full screen of tanning bed-like "UV" lightbulbs flickering on and then a sudden white wash and some disturbing images of skin damage and the tagline, "Don't be fooled, UV exposure can kill."
Pretty brilliant way to get their message across, huh? Praying on the dumb and the orange-skinned?

A little sun/light therapy is good for you.
Its those who worship it that need to be called out.
Hate this 'omg its the SUN.. run!' movement - scaring people from living and being human & enjoying the natural benefits of nature.
'Just dont over do it' should be the tagline. Then ill take it a little more seriously.
Till then i have a good balance of eating right, exercising, enjoying nature and good skin care.
Stop stressing out!

I love this because I can experience the behaviors of tanning without all of the dangers of going to the salon. The iPhone app really takes it to the next level, now I can stop for a quick tan while out of doors- maybe even do it on the move, if I am careful not to do it for too long.
