Three Free Mac Desktop Calendars

073009_tf_maccalendar1.pngSome people like to keep personal photos or attractive art on their computer desktops. Others like to match their desktops to their decor. But the most productive techies among us would probably prefer using one of these cool Mac desktop calendar applications instead...

Via MakeUseOf.com, we found these cool Mac desktop applications that give you a few ways to keep tabs on your life:

  • Dateline will put a linear transparent calendar on your desktop that will float above everything else. If you click on a day in the calendar, that day's agenda in iCal.
  • Rainlendar Lite is a popular PC calendar that's made it's way to the Apple side of life. You can customize the look of the little calendar and add events, alarms and a to-do list to the mix.
  • MagiCal is meant to work with Mac OS X’s native menu bar clock. The full calendar will drop down from the menu bar and allow you instant access to iCal appointments with a double-click on the mouse.

This is nice and all. But do you guys ever look for accessories or software or news items that actually pertain to PCs/Windows?

In a recent post you said that most of the people who write for this blog use PCs, but 99% of all of the stories are either Apple related or Apple illustrated.

I dont mean to be a pest about this, but it really would be nice to see some non-Apple related stuff more frequently than it happens now.
