A Mini Docking Station for Small Cool Spaces

080309_tf_minidock1.jpgWe love docking stations for their perfect balance of aesthetics and function. You've got a dedicated spot to keep all your gadgets, putting an end to searching the couch cushions for your cell phone, and it's always working to keep your desk or kitchen counter tidy, with wires and power strips hidden. But some of the docks we see are meant for an entire household's use...

080309_tf_minidock2.jpgWith four or five (or more!) spots to plug into, the docking station itself gets heftier. All of a sudden, singles living in small cool studio apartments find that they'd rather battle their cell phone's tangly power cord than give up precious counter-top real estate for a sleek docking station.

But West Elm, an Apartment Therapy and Unplggd favorite and manufacturer of the bit-too-big Lacquer Docking Station (seen above in the espresso finish), has got us small space dwellers covered.

Their Mini Docking Station has a much smaller footprint (5"w x 6"d x 4"h) and still just as much style and function. It's two dedicated charging shelves are perfect for a cell phone and an iPod—just the day's necessities. In fact, it would fit perfectly on a nightstand!

Get one from West Elm in white or espresso finish for $34. Check it out here.

target has ones that look just like that top one in green or pink fabric for $7. you provide your own power strip for it or just run all the cords out the back, but can't beat the price. almost picked one up.
