Update: Olympus' Retro-Camera Out in 2009

We told you we'd keep you posted (in our first post) on any new news about the Olympus Micro Four Thirds, the modern camera with the retro styling. Well now Olympus has confirmed that it will be launching the digital camera in 2009.

Miquel Angel Garcia, managing director for European marketing, said we could expect a Micro Four Thirds camera within the next 12 months from Olympus. He added that the prototype we saw wasn't just a proof of concept, leading us to believe that the camera that will hit shelves will look a lot like that one.
