With all the hoopla around the HTC G1 and the Android OS, it's not surprising that Art Lebedev, the company behind the Optimus Keyboard, came out with a new concept cell phone. The design is more than a concept since the studio is teaming up with Russia's Scartel, a carrier which just launched a WiMax network in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The simple and functional design is quite elegant. Unlike the HTC G1, it does have a headphone jack and it will have a complete touch-based interface. It'll come with all of the latest cell phone protocols, WiMax radio, tri-band GSM, micro SD, dual cameras for video-conferencing, an A/V plug, WiFi, and a gigantic 850 x 480 screen. The base has got just a few buttons including a five-way joystick, call/end buttons and no keypad.
