Blackbook M: The Android Phone You'll Want

092908_rg_blackbookm_01.jpgPersonally, I find the design of the HTC G1 a bit unappealing. That's why I found this design tantalizing. It's a concept phone named the Blackbook M designed by Emre Durmus, a freelance photographer and designer.

092908_rg_blackbookm_02.jpgThe Blackbook M is sleek and thin, with a nicely designed sliding keyboard. The HTC is just a bit too thick and the design of the keyboard isn't interesting. This one is, with the buttons filling up most of the space, is better. If this phone ever sees production, it will be a good competitor to the iPhone just like the new Art Lebedev phone. Even though these phones look alike, thanks to the sliding keyboard, they'll be easier to use to access the internet and sending email than an iPhone. Then again, except for the HTC G1, none of them are out yet.

Concept phones are nice and all, and they always emphasise on better-whats-available (eg, this 'concept' has is basically a slimmed HTC Touch). Whether it is feasible or not is an entirely different matter.
