The Self Cleaning Toilet Seat

Flying through Frankfurt airport last week found me in the washroom and surprised by a self cleaning toilet seat. While the retracting scrub brush doesn't compare to the washing machine toilet combo it's nice to know that you have a fresh seat without having to mess around with flimsy toilet seat covers or those crazy rotating plastic wraps that I have seen in other places.

Not completely unheard of in the US - they had these at Newark airport (terminal B, international arrivals) when I was there last week as well to pick someone up. Of course, they had the automatic seat, but manual flush, which was hidden by the seat mechanics, so that was a bit counterintuitive...

Oh yes, they have that very thing on the toilets in my local pizzeria - on LI!
