Real Life Flip Clock: Walking Around on Legs

We know that you know all about the iPhone flip clock. That iPhone app is probably the coolest clock app in the iTunes store. Well, now that it's become so popular, manufacturers have caught up and are releasing some cool flip clocks. Only this time, they are available in real life. Flip clocks used to be very popular in the past, before more dynamic displays arrived on the market. One of the coolest we've seen is this one.

This cool looking real life flip clock was designed by Michael Daniel and is available from Urban Outfitters. Don't get us wrong, we love the iPhone flip clock, but actually having a real flip clock is so much cooler. The clock rests on these crazy looking legs that actually don't move around at all. However, every time a number flips over, the clock gives the illusion of moving towards you. All of the gears and mechanisms are visible.

This great looking clock will look awesome on your desk or your bedside table. Flip clocks have always been cool, but were really made ultra cool thanks to the iPhone flip clock app. The only bad thing is that it doesn't appear to be an alarm clock, just a plain old clock. I'm heartbroken to hear that the top flip clock is being sold at Urban Outfitters. I bought one a few years ago when I was in China (way before the iPhone) and had such fun with it being unusual. The batteries are constantly falling out though and customs thought it was a bomb.
