Pong Clock: A Spectator Sport and a Timepiece

090908_tf_pongclock_01.jpgThis sleek piece displays a "rigged" game of old-school Pong that we wouldn't bet on. The player on the left scores once each hour, and the player on the right scores once each minute. Their scores, when displayed side-by-side show the current time, making this game actually a wall clock. (It's also available as a free screensaver... check it out under the jump.)

The Pong Clock from Buro Vormkrijgers is available through the designers Web site, but you can download a screensaver of the clock for Mac and PC free here. (We sure wish we had found this one for our recent Free Screensaver Roundup.)

This article might not be totally up to date. The Pong clock has been long sold out and Buro Vormkrijgers as a collaborative has been dissolved.

As Sander's page about the clock says (http://www.sandermulder.com/pong_clock.html)

"The release of the limited edition of 400 Pong Clocks created such a hype that it sold out in 1 day."
