Close-Up: A Home Office for the Baroque at Heart

Forgive us. We found this on Ikea's Swedish site and Google translator has not helped us out much in figuring out how this beautiful room came together. Translation issues aside, the office space is absolutely stunning. From the bold and very elegant choice in wallpaper to the monochrome theme (with a touch of peach blossoms), we're just loving everything about this space.

Beside from the Kartell Componibili white drawer unit, also seen in Anna's home office, we're having a hard time IDing everything else. Do any of you recognize some of the great stuff in here?

heheh, while i think it's totally rad right now, i know i'd get sick of it fast. that's why me and wallpaper shall never meet. but i do like how everything is 'blacked out' and i love the componobibbiliioiio (whatEVER) and how it fits in that space.

it's really pretty, but too trendy to last long in my good graces :)

however, that one-legged desk with the cable hiding stuff? pretty friggin' sweet!! looks like it should be deeper though...

Beskrivning

My Swedish is rusty but I'll give it a go:

Description: COMPUTER ROOM

Here's where I sit and surf the web every night! When we moved here it was all vinyl flooring and embossed (="structured") wallpaper. In with the new oak (?) floor and new wallpaper.

Took a long time before I found them, "on big IT" (this is where it got rusty for me).

I designed the table myself, and my spouses dad built it.

Used tools: soldering iron, MDF for table.

Does anyone know where to get the large digital clock screen saver in the first photo? I've seen it here a couple times - could really use it!

Lilli K,
Thanks for the awesome translation. I'm coming to you next time instead of Google translator! Watch out!

Why Ikea? Nothing mentioned so far about Ikea items! I would be pleasantly surprised if the chair is from Ikea. To me it looks Italian with a sturdy base, like that. I have the same wall paper, which in reality is absolutely stunning. It has a metalic finish to it, so it looks embossed, but it is not. I bought it in Liepaja and I think it is German, but I can easily look up my notes when I am in Latvia in a week's time, if anyone wants the manufacturer's details. The wall paper was VERY reasonably priced and is a fraction of the cost of wallpapers sourced in London (where I live).

I'm literally dying to have this wallpaper- anyone know what it is? Who makes it?

The wallpaper is Rasch, by BN International, The Netherlands. High quality non woven vinyl. Number 43065. It costs approx 12.20 LVL (Latvian Lats) per roll. 53cm wide and 10 metres long. Pattern match up is 64cm. I am currently helping another reader purchase it from Reaton, Liepaja in Latvia. If you need their contact details please let me know. Suggest you check out 43037 also. I purchased both of them. The latter for the bedroom in purple at the LuxLoft, Liepaja.
