Asus Eee Box PC makes HDTV Connectivity a Cinch

030209_tf_eeebox_1.jpgThe Asus Eee Box PC is one heckuva good-lookin' desktop computing machine. When we heard the first version, the Asus Eee Box B202, was coming to the States, we were ecstatic. Now, the newer Asus Eee Box 206 is coming with a bonus feature that makes it perfectly at home in your living room or bedroom, right next to your 1080p LCD TV...

The new Asus Eee Box 206 features an HDTV connectivity cable and a high-definition decoding graphics card, which means that this machine is ready to get down and become the centerpiece to a killer media room.

And we mean centerpiece. Would you wanna hide this baby away? No, it'll look perfect and right at home next to your Nintendo Wii.

It'll cost you about $440 USD, but it's a worthwhile investment considering that not only is this the "HDTV PC" but it's also pegged to be the "Power-Saving PC." Asus is claiming that people who leave their computers on 'round-the-clock (you know some of you do...) would save about $150 a year.

The other specs? An Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and Windows XP.

See! All is well now. Although...with a few changes, that computer wouldn't look too out of place with a certain fruit logo. ;)

Even better if you can take it off it's stand to put flat with the rest of your TV electronics.
