Sure, companies worldwide have always looked for clever ways to push their products to the masses, but there's is no simpler solution than to copy something considered already perfected. In comes Averatec's glossy black PC rehash of Apple's iMac, with a few adjustments such as a 22" LCD screen as their base model and a gaming video card. Great for Applephobes, sheer disgust for Apple fanboys.
Specifications include a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 CPU, 320GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 8400, and a built-in webcam. The Averatec All-in-One PC should start popping up on shelves in a few months, starting at $1299.

Since Apple's design is essentially that of a display with an elongated bezel at the bottom, it's rather easy to "copy" it by making an all-in-one that looks like, well, a display.
The main problem is that these PCs suffer from the same limits as similar Macs, there's no room to expand much of anything so upgrading requires a new machine. I can't imagine that PC users will embrace this wholeheartedly.

Oh, I dunno, Orchid...I've got the feeling most people don't upgrade their computers. As long as the OEM offers a wide-enough array of options, it could do well.

Won't Apple get very angry about this and sue them? I've heard of other similar designed computers and Apple are never very happy about it. Hmm
