BMW and Thermaltake's Level 10: The PC Case from the Future

030609_rg_thermaltakebmwlevel10_02.jpgPCs are all about cases. Well, that's not really true, but it's one of the easiest way of customizing your desktop. In an age where desktop sales are falling fast and laptop sales are increasing, PC users want to make bold statements with their machine to rival Apple's designs. That's why this case is really interesting. It's like a computer case from the future. The PC has been turned inside out. To top that off, Thermaltake has designed this with BMW.

This is a prototype case and it's currently on display at CeBIT, the world's largest computer expo in Hanover, Germany. It's called Level 10 and people have guessed that all of the strange devices are either connecting cables or even liquid cooling pipes. Naturally, with this open design, it doesn't need much more cooling, but with today's modern heat generating machines, you never know.

It's a great looking design and we have no doubt that people will appreciate it. There isn't much information available on this case though, hopefully more will be revealed soon. This postmodern computer case might be the perfect addition to your fancy loft, with all those exposed wires and pipes. It's a bold move, but I haven't bought a desktop since 2006, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Companies are still buying servers and computers, but I doubt that they would spring the extra money for something as bold as this. Anyway, it's a great design and it will most probably work well. I bet it gets really dusty and would be difficult to clean.
