Flybook VM

2007_03_29 flybook vm.jpgWe are a bit biased because we are Mac people. As such, when it comes to laptop design Apple is the company that sets the standard. When we came across the Flybook VM though, the bright red case caught our eye and elicited a quick double take. This notebook is as you would expect options wise: Intel Core Duo, 2 GB RAM, 60 GB hard drive, 12.1" wide-aspect 1280x768 display, Bluetooth 2.0, wireless 802.11 a/b/g, fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, microphone and camera....but the best part is the screen.

2007_03_29 flybook adjust.jpgWith the telescoping arm ingeniously integrated into the back of the LCD, you are able to achieve literally any screen angle you like along with raising the height of the LCD so you can avoid having to use an alternative solution for getting the screen to a comfortable viewing height.

Available for $2399 here

MacBook Oyster = $1200

Are a red case and telescoping arm worth another $1200?

i would LOVE a mac that did that! i use my laptop as my primary computer.

only i can't afford to drop $2K (plus!) so they'll have to make it the ibook version. :)

Wow! A delightful innovation... and the crimson case reminds me of the sexy allure of Christian Louboutin's signature red sole stilettos. Mmmm...
