A bit fat for a keyboard, but this size comes with a reason. At about an inch and a half tall, this keyboard will allow you to do away with your noisy, space consuming, must hide PC tower by cramming in a 3.4 Ghz Pentium 4, 2gb of RAM, 2.5in hard drive, optical drive and built in speakers all in a nice glossy package.
With all of this functionality now available in the keyboard on top of your desk, under desk mounted components can slip up through a hole in your workspace for a clean yet fully functional desktop. Perhaps custom colours will be available for a fully coordinated look with whatever monitor you choose, we just hope it doesn't get too hot.
Just announced at CeBIT so pricing and availability is not yet clear.
I had a Commodore 64 that did the same thing!
Er, as long as you only needed 64k of ram...
My TRS-80 Model 1 also did this - I had 32K RAM and an OS that loaded from a tape deck - after 2 weeks I bought a floppy drive. In today's money it cost Australian $50,000.
It's a smart design - although my Mac Mini makes me happy too.
I had a commodore 64 too, but I do not remember it been this cool. But... memory is fading after 20 some years
