Most web cams are goofy looking balls that sit or clip awkwardly to the top of your computer. The built in MacBook camera is the only one we have really been impressed with, but not really a fair comparison since it is integrated into the screen. The travel sized GE collapsible webcam seems like it is worth a look though. 30 frames per second, 640x480 resolution and 4 LED's should provide you with pretty good video quality. Best of all, this is only 1 7/8" high by 2 3/4" in diameter when it is closed.
