HP Fashion Edition By Vivienne Tam: A Notebook Designed For Her

091108_hpfashion_01.jpgMost laptops look the same, especially with PC compatible ones. That's one of the reasons why any laptop that looks distinctive will be immensely popular. It's only recently that laptop manufacturers have started catering to people who enjoy style and function. HP has teamed up with world-renowned fashion designer Vivienne Tam to create a special edition notebook.

091108_hpfashion_02.jpgVivienne Tam and HP unveiled the design of this new notebook on the catwalk today during New York's Fashion Week. Tam also worked with HP to design the laptop's accessories. The top lid of the notebook is bright red covered in peony flowers. The peony design continues inside the lid. The notebook comes with an embroidered storage sleeve.

What's with this blogger, it's not the first time he's simply tacked on the words "for her" after a headline about something colorful. Please note the Sony ear buds post a couple weeks ago. Seriously fabricated and weirdly misogynistic....

It does kind of look like it's made for a girl though... you know with all the flowery pink and LV gold accents..

I think a better headline would say "...for Grandma". Seriously, what woman under the age of 55 (or 65) likes things with big flowers and embroidery?

I propose that Range title all of his OTHER posts "[blah blah] for him" just so we're all really clear on his concept: tech is for boys, pink things are for girls.

Dude, seriously, cut it the hell out. Women want tech that works. If it's good tech AND it looks good, cheers, then. But if it's pink and you can't be bothered to mention its tech capabilities, don't waste your time cutting-and-pasting press releases, mmmkay?

One day tech companies will stop condescending to women. Perhaps one day soon, Range will stop condescending to women readers.
