Wow! We never thought of using marble as a home office tabletop, but how elegant does it make that iMac look?! Man, you could feel high brow reading Perez Hilton if you were parked at this desk!

Our only concern would be the carpal tunnel issues that could flare up having your wrists resting on such a cold and hard surface. Better get an elegant wrist rest to keep your dainty hands pain free! We think this buckwheat, flaxseed and rice, lavender scented wrist rest from Etsy would look refreshingly beautiful on this marble top.

I think it looks like a bathroom...

All you need is a toilet seat desk chair to match. I like it though even though it does have a bathroom look to it.

it didn't scream "BATHROOM" to me, but it did whisper "I'm an office in a kitchen" - like, made from extending the counter and cabinetry. it's not very officeish.

I'll second that it looks like the kitchen, especially with the type of drawers and narrow counter space. It's look more like a desk if it were separate or wider.
The keyboard height and position look awkward for prolonged typing as well.

I like this a lot. I think a super solid desk is an awesome thing and if you rounded off the edge, you would have a much softer feel that would be somewhat easier on the wrists.
