Sony Vaio JS Series Aims for Mac Market

100808_tf_vaiojs.jpgWe've already told you that Sony VAIO was going to be taking the Apple approach to life and begin marketing all-in-one desktop computers. We even told you you'd see the first one in October. Well, folks, here it is. The new Sony VAIO JS190 and the VAIO JS130 are all-in-one units that take after Apple's iMacs in more ways than the one. Their sleek aluminum body seems to give in to the universally superior Mac aesthetic. They're also priced to mimic Mac at $1,499.99 and $1,099.99, respectively—competetive with 20" iMac retail rates. Already on back order for "early October" shipping, expect these things to fly off shelves, whenever they make it there. Specs after the jump...

price is nice, and it indeed mimics apple styling... but in a way that just looks like a mac wanna be. with that clunky piece in the front, it is far from being as aesthetically pleasing as a mac in my eyes.

Yeah... as someone who uses both Macs and PCs, I wish PC makers would come up with something new-different-cool on their own. Because the copycat product inevitably ends up looking like a poor man's version of the original.

The same goes for portable music players. Please stop copying the iPod. Give us something new and exciting.
