Unotron Washable Keyboards

2007-03-25-unotron.jpgWho cares about spills when you can just run the keyboard under water? Unotron has designed an entire line of keyboards and mice that can be washed and are equipped with SpillSeal to protect against the inevitable cup of coffee.

So germ-phobes and spill-prone individuals rejoice, there is a solution. And it only costs around $50. Now what they need to develop is a fully-washable laptop.

Available here.

People have been putting their keyboards through the dishwasher for years (including me). Granted, you could only do this with plain jane 101-key keyboards and not the fancy keyboards with media and Internet buttons at the top.

Nice to see a brand put out that is designed specifically for easy clean-up. Will be a godsend for any parent with small children (or clumsy teenagers).

I work in a bikeshop that just set up point of sale software and I'm looking at the mice and keyboards and wondering whether we're headed for disaster.

Do you have any other recommendations for sparing our technology from sure doom?
