PowerZoa: Remotely Control Electronic Devices

We've all had those face palm moments of Oh Crap, Did I leave the coffee maker on?! Sometimes it's hard to remember to turn off or unplug every single device we have plugged in. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a way to turn off that coffee maker at the moment you realize it's still on?

PowerZoa is much like a lot of the smart plugs that are available, except for one giant bonus feature &mdash remote access to the power usage of anything you have plugged into it. There's a secure website that allows you to view the power usage of any device you have plugged in and the ability to turn them off or on.

The PowerZoa works when it is plugged in between the wall socket and the device you're using. The PowerZoa then wirelessly transmits to the secure website; detailing usage and ultimately provides the ability to power on or off the device.

The design of the PowerZoa isn't very pleasing to the eye, but since it's still technically a concept &mdash hopefully that'll change.

That is SO much better than the huge honking boxes you have to plug in to use remotes now! I will buy 2 dozen of these when they're available!

The Western world is so behind when in comes to lifestyle conveniences like this. Nice condos in Asia (esp. Korea) have these built into the wall sockets as a matter of course. And the interface to turn them off works through your cellphone.
