Speakers as Equalizers

071009_sz_equalizerspeakers.jpg071009_sz_equalizerspeakerroll.jpg Any time you can take a speaker out of its square existence and spice it up is a good thing. This concept from Young Sang Eun, the same guy that thought up the 2-in-1 loo, turns speaker into movable equalizer. By moving each of the speakers individually, either up or down, the user controls tone and bass.

We're not sure if having all six speakers in one location would prove inadequate for audiophiles, but we applaud the idea either way...

As much as I like the aesthetics of this, being said audiophile..the form doesn't follow the function. Tweeters, theoretically are supposed to point at ear level, subs on the floor..in a nut shell. But this? To get more bass, Lift the sub up higher. That doesn't make sense. A personal equalizer that goes out to speakers maybe, and looks just as good on a smaller scale might work better.
