The Great Multipurpose Ipod Dock

011409_rg_ipoddockspeaker_01.jpgWe like iPod docks, since we have to have them at home in order to play our tunes. However, docks should always come with speakers, since we like to have a all-in-one solution. That's why I thought that this little concept of a dock is really nice. It combines a few simple ideas in a great looking package, making things easier at work or at home. Read on to find out more.

011409_rg_ipoddockspeaker_02.jpgSang-Hoon Lee designed this dock, which combines speakers and a light, making it ideal to have in the bedroom. What's really good is that it looks very slick. It's something that would fit in perfectly in any bedroom, and make life easier, keeping your iPhone or iPod close at hand.

We like how the speaker is hidden along the surface of the dock, which isn't small. The lamp is tucked in at the top of the dock, making it an efficient system to use in a bedroom, home office or anywhere else where space is at a premium. On a desk, you cut down on clutter since the dock has an integrated lamp and in the bedroom, it's a great all-in-one solution, making things easier to manage. The other thing that we like, is that this dock is kind of like a pedestal for your iPod or iPhone, displaying it in a way, which is interesting as well. So if you love your iPhone like we do, this will be the dock for your. [via Yanko Design]

This seems like a great idea. I just bought a dock for my Ipod at Brookstone. It's called a boombucket, and it only put me out 80 bucks. It sounds amazing and I love that it can run on a charge unplugged for hours. I am going to take this thing everywhere. It already makes the trip from upstairs to down for baths and cooking.

Can't we have something else besides an ipod? Im sure someone could agree on a portable music player hardware interface that would work for any player.
