Bringing 21st Century Tech to 19th Centiury Decor

091108_tf_fiona_main.jpgAs a techie, if your taste is modern and minimal, you've got an endless array of options for outfitting your space with the latest technology. Finding an iPod dock that looks at home on your parsons table? Easy. But what about those of us with more ornate tastes? Designer Fiona Thompson "unleashed" a few designs inspired by an attempt to bring 21st century technology to 19th century home decor, including a Beethoven bust iPod dock, a rechargeable candelabra and a sitting dog lamp.

Each piece in the designer's collection embodies hidden technology, transforming an ornamental object into a functional and practical object.
