Hallmark's Home Tech Ornaments

Do you have a tradition of gifting ornaments for friends and family? Kate's mom picks out a dated ornament every year, since she was born, and often they've reflected her hobbies or places they traveled to together, and it adds up to a great collection that decorates her tree.

2007-12-07armchair.jpgThis year, Hallmark has three ornaments worthy of mention here on Unplggd:

  • "Player 1" Keepsake Ornament which looks much like a PS2 controller, for the gamer in your family to reserve their special spot on the tree; $15. It even makes sounds!

  • "ESPN-Playing Flat Screen" Keepsake Ornament is playing Sports Center, nonetheless; no word on it's HD capabilities, but it might be a good way to note your transition from CRT to LCD and tell your grandkids about it sometime in the future; $15. The TV also lights up and makes sounds.

  • Everybody's favorite TV watching spot, even if your modern decor doesn't allow for it: the "Favorite Chair" Keepsake Ornament makes for a more affordable way to find a little comfort in your seating; $12.50. Just like you'd make your recliner lay back, so the lever works on the ornament as well.
