Moonbeam Clock

2007_09_20 moonbeam-clock.jpg

Move towards the light. As soon as you are awake that is. The retro styled moonbeam clock supposedly wakes you up with a "gentle illuminating light". We have interpreted that to mean slowly getting brighter until you can't stand it anymore. As a safety feature, should the light not wake you, an audible alarm bell will sound. Something tells me we would be hearing the alarm every morning.

Available here for $39.50.

This is the best thing ever. My wife used to hit snooze 25 times before finally getting out of bed, which meant that I had to wake up 25 times with her. (and I didn't need to, I work from home!). Then I bought her this clock and I no longer hear anything. The light just blinks for a while, and each time you snooze it, it takes less time before it starts blinking. Wait too long and the audible alarm goes off. Seriously, I would have paid 10 X the price for this thing!

hmm... i am a frequent snoozer also, and have always loved the look of this clock in yellow, but I'm afraid of the ultimate alarm, how bad is it?

It's not that bad, but it does wake you up. I think you have to go quite some time before it kicks in though. You will love it.

Hey, is it a plug in clock? I see battery backup, but I can't tell if it plugs in from the website.

I bought one of these a few years back thinking it was like a dawn simulator. Instead, it flashes a light on and off to wake you up. It does wake you up. My husband nicknamed it "the headache machine." The alarm bell is also jarring. I would get up just to avoid the sound of that bell. It does look nice, though.
