Dishwasher Minus the Dishwasher

070809_sz_dishwasher.jpg Sometimes simplifying tech is the best way to improve it. A concept dishwasher shown at DMY International Design Festival proves just that. Colo, designed by Peter Schwartz and Helene Steiner, modifies your existing sink and turns it into a dishwasher...

070809_sz_dishwasher2.jpg Dirty dishes are placed within a tray that then is put into your sink.

Once dishes are cleaned the entire rack, with dishes, can be hung from the wall.

Here's a video that demonstrates how this whole thing works. We would love to have one of these in our house, especially since washing by hand wastes so much more water than using a dishwasher.

I want one as soon as they hit the market. This idea is long overdue!

Right?! I'm so into having one of these in the house. It just makes sense. I have a feeling if this ever happens, it'll be in Europe.
