A Curiously Strong DIY Project... Do You See It?

020509_tf_altoidsDIY1.jpgIf you were scrolling down the page just now, looking at the pictures to see what catches your eye but not really reading the words, then you must have bad breath or just be a fan of really minty mints—because we have no other ideas as to why a picture of a seemingly innocent Altoids tin would make you stop. But you know this is Unplggd and you know there's more to this tin. Can you tell what one clever DIY superstar rigged it up to become?...

020509_tf_altoidsDIY4.jpgInstructables user jeoncs built a computer mouse into a can of Altoids!

The functionality is still completely intact, thanks to some strategically placed cuts in the thin metal lid that create bending, flexing "buttons" for your clicking pleasure.

This is a great idea for people who love their computer mouses to be freezing cold when they first get to them in the morning (freak!)... or more realistically for people who don't want their roommates stealing their wireless laptop mouse while they're away.

Full DIY instructions (which require a bit of tech-savy and a soldering iron) are here.

I love it, but I can't see it being extremely useful.
