It looks like we're not the only ones seeing the decline of laptop battery life over time. However, there are tips and tricks out there to help you counter battery drain as much as possible (or at least, until it decides to roll over and die). First up to bat: Choosing the right browser.
Explored by the team at Anandtech, the graph above pretty much sums up the results quite nicely. After a series of tests, they found that there was a 30% difference between the worst performing browser, Apple's Safari, and the best - Internet Explorer 8. Firefox comes up second, even with Adblock installed. Yeah, we're pretty surprised ourselves at the results.
Of course, we take all these tests with a grain of salt. We're speculating IE might have done so well due to certain elements possibly being pre-loaded by the OS. But then again, we might be completely wrong and it might actually deserve the praise from these tests. Anyone out there have the time to do another run? We'll post the results here on Unplggd.

Nice for people who use Windows. Wake me when they've run this comparison on other OS's.
