Look! Recycled CD iPhone Dock

061509recycledcd-iphonedock.jpgWe got quite a collection of burned CD-R's in our collection, the remnants of several projects from years ago, backup applications (pre Time Machine era) and miscellaneous files, some which we now have no idea why we saved in the first place. But even after keeping them in cool, dark storage, a percentage of the burned media just stopped working. Amongst a few hundred, we've seen about 15-20% failure to mount. Thank goodness flash and drive media is affordable now. Guess we can save those dead CD-R's for a DIY project like this Recycled CD iPhone Dock sent to us from Roland of Geeky Gadget...just in time for a (hopefully soon) iPhone 3G S purchase!

061509recycledcd-iphonedock2.jpgThe project is fairly simple and only requires a Dremel to make a slightly wider opening to snake through your USB iPhone or Touch charging connector, alongside 11 to 12 CDs or DVDs to stack up and glue altogether. Additional photos and instructions over at Geeky Gadgets.
