SolCell Charger

2007-05-17solcellcharger.jpgIt's not often we end up stuck without a plug to charger our cell phone, but we do like the idea of the charge being "greener." Enter the SolCell Charger from Silicon Solar, who also produces the solar battery charger we linked to recently. We like the idea of replacing our usual charger with this one because of it's greener nature.

At only $29.00 and 6 oz., this small item also comes with another great feature: it has its own battery back-up, so you can charge even when you're not around a light source (i.e. at night when you're sleeping). The SolCell connects to Nokia, Ericsson, Audiovox, Kyocera and Samsung cell phones.

Bah. Good idea, but all of my day-to-day portable gear charges via mini-USB.

Ondrej - check out their variety of options, there's probably one that works because they have quite a few; this is just one option.

Seems the iSol Plus 2X comes with a mini USB out (the others seemed only to be USB-in). Let's see where that goes.
