We could have used this last summer. We have all been there. You have a big group of friends over, the weather is beautiful and the food is prepped and ready to go on the grill. You go to fire up the BBQ and you are greeted with the silence of an empty propane tank and the groans of your hungry friends. With this little gauge, you are given a visual indication of how much gas is left in the tank to help you avoid this situation altogether and the burden of storing a back up tank.
Available here for $24.95
I've never understood the desire to have a propane tank gauge.
Most gauges of this type are wildly inaccurate and if the gauge tells you that the gas is too low for your grilling but not empty what are your options? Do you waste the propane that is in the current tank getting a replacement? For the cost of the gauge you can have a full backup tank at the ready and the second tank pays for itself when you figure in the cost accocated with the waste.
Am I missing something?
