You'll excuse my lack of appreciation. I have a rather nice HP laptop meet an early demise thanks to my cat and nearly loss a brand new Dell to another. Luckily the Dell was still under warranty.

I don't have cats, so this may seem stupid, but how do cats destroy a computer...and not as a freak accident?
Shred furniture, yes. Make guests cry at dinner, yes. Scars on the arms, yes. But I'm stuck on the computer.

cashba, the only cases of destroyed computers via cats that I know of have to do with cat hair in the fans. The fans clog up and the computer overheats. Not just laptops. I suppose a cat could also block the fan intake just by lying in the wrong place, too.
However, someone on the Pawesome site mentioned a cat knocking liquid onto a laptop. I guess there are other ways a cat could get liquid on a computer, too!

I am getting a new laptop soon, and I plan to give my current one to my cat Charlotte. She just loves it so much. My thinking is that if she has her own laptop she'll leave my new laptop alone. That's wishful thinking, isn't it?
