Everyone agrees that the idea and execution of the "holograms" are gimmicky. The naming, I am sure, was to reduce confusion and increase recognition. After all, it's technology to make it seem as though someone is there in three dimensions, even though this isn't a hologram.

hologram = terrible idea. cnn was all about using crazy technology this year. holograms, enough touchscreens to fill a house, you name it.

I dont get the use of touch screens on TV. Couldn't you just flash two different graphics on the screen and I wouldn't have to watch your hand touch anything and the graphic would be larger and easier to read!!?? It's like Wheel of Fortune...Vanna has no real point.

I love how anderson cooper said "ah... there you are now." like he could see anything. then he said "its just like in star trek" which it SORT of is, but he was totally c-blocking the other guy's star wars comment.
