Final Frame: The Fridge Desktop

082609fridgetop.jpgSometimes you've got to make do with what you've got, as was the case for Elza Rubule, who set up his iMac ontop of a mini fridge as a workspace. We've seen similar setups using a myriad of non-desk surfaces like roller files, side tables, chairs, benches and even reinforced cardboard boxes. Do you have your desktop/laptop situated ontop of an unusual space?

Elza describes the temporary setup: We drove to our countryside house (which is being renovated) to do a photoshoot for a lingerie catalogue called "Rosme".
As expected, the house was a mess – so we decided to set up the iMac in one of the rooms on the 1st floor which was more or less in a bearable condition.
In this room there happened to be 2 beds and a fridge... and to be honest, I'm quite certain there was a table as well, but I'm guessing they decided to use it for something else.

I think when they unpacked the computer from the box, they just placed it on the nearest flat surface available, I can't really say, I wasn't present when this happened. At the time one of my roles there was to take pictures of the photographer and her surroundings for interviews in magazines that were planned in the nearest future (a "behind the scenes" kind of thing).
I found this combination of a workplace and a kitchen to be convenient in an extremely amusing, yet dangerous way.
But sadly (or thank god) it was a temporary thing (photoshoots don't last forever).

My t.v. was stationed on top of my mini-fridge for a year or so.

Isn't that a table right next to the fridge in the picture?

I think I could only do that temporarily. Having to always have my legs and knees pointed sideways would annoy me after a few days.

Wunami, the table is for keeping food cold.

It's not for a long using time.

It's really not good for your back! here the ergonomy doesnt exist, your arm must be pose on a support (armchair for exemple).
